The two hour drive to GA was pretty uneventful. I did have a bit of fun trying to get into the Diesel pump at the gas station. I ended up blocking one of the entrances to the pumps, but we got Delilah fed.
Pet Peeve #198: People who fill up their gas vehicles at the Diesel pumps when there are a ton of other pumps open. For crying out loud, there are usually only 2-4 pumps at a regular station that dispense Diesel and they are usually on the end for a reason: Most diesel vehicles are bigger. Take your little Toyota to one of the gas only pumps and leave the Diesel ones for those that need it. I can see if the entire station is filled, but when the rest of the pumps are empty and I have to wait for you to get back from buying your coffee for 20 minutes it leaves me in a rough mood.
Ok, now that I got that off my chest. We made it to GA! What a great little campground this is. The people here are absolutely some of the best that I've met at any campground we've visited. Here is an example of hospitality.
When we arrived I walked into the office to check in and while I was exchanging some small talk with the managers, I asked if there was a place around to buy camper parts because I needed to replace the skylight. (My makeshift repair bag didn't make it to GA btw.) The gentleman at the desk replied, "No, I'm not sure of where you can go to buy one of those, but I have two covers in the back shed!" Of course, being a campground where things are usually priced higher than standard retail, I asked, "How much do you want for one of those?" He looked me straight in the eye and with a grin said, "No, I mean you can have BOTH of them - NO Charge. Someone left them here, they are brand new and I'm not going to use them." He then walked me to his golf cart and we rode out back where he handed them to me before escorting us to our site.

Now, this doesn't fix the skylight, but it is 1000 times better than having a gaping hole in the ceiling so I set them over the top of both skylights and Karen and I took off to buy supplies at Lowes to put them on, cover the skylight hole more efficiently and get a bite to eat at a restaurant they also recommended to us.
We then drove into Cartersville and found the Appalachian Grill. The food was excellent, just as
were were told, and we ended up bringing back leftovers. We had to try desert though. I had the crème brûlée and Karen had the chocolate Fudge Cake a la mode. Wow! If you are ever in Cartersville, GA Go here. It doesn't disappoint.
In after dinner zombie mode we ambled through Lowes and visited the Walmartians before heading back to the trailer, putting on the skylight covers, and taking the Donk out for a walk.
