Prepping continues

We're still getting things ready with Chappy.  I got the spice rack put in and the carpet covers for the stairs so the dogs won't slip as easy.  I still have a few things to repair but we are on track for sure.

I've been looking at the Roadlink C2 as another possible weapon in my internet connection arsenal.  Pretty cool little device.  It manages wifi connections and has a broadband connection of it's own using AT&T.  The service from AT&T is separate, but they offer a 1 year unlimited data plan for $360.  That is an awesome price!

I found out that the RV dealer near me is supposed to be a place to go to get one of these and after they called me about my tank handles I ordered coming in I though I'd ask about getting one and having it installed. (The tank handle story I really need to do as another post for sure, but lets just say the the "Parts Guy" doesn't like me after that fiasco.)  I talked to the parts lady and she quoted me the same price that I can get online for the unit and said I'd have to talk to the aforementioned "Parts Guy" about having it installed. Without looking at what is involved to do the install (4 screws, sealant, tape, and a couple of wire nuts) he threw out "$500!".

I might have bought that had they even heard of this unit prior to my arrival and would have been impressed by his number had they previously installed one, but this "Parts Guy" was just being difficult because I gave him grief over the tank handles.  I may buy one and put it in myself, or I may call another dealer and have them quote me on the installation, but I will guarantee it will not take more than an hour and shouldn't cost more than $200 if I take it in.
