Won't miss Michigan, but I'll miss the people.

We're into our last week in Michigan now that we've arranged for grocery help from family and friends to assist Karen's Mom.  We had a surprisingly sunny and pleasant day yesterday, but that did little to relieve the sinus/allergy issues that I've had since we left AZ. I've got mixed feelings about returning to Ohio because it means that our first AZ winter adventure is coming to an end, but our plans for this summer and fall are still developing.  We'll definitely be back in Michigan for a week or two, but we'd also like to return to Harpers Ferry, maybe a trip into NY state.  Who knows for sure with all that is going on around us. I'll have to post updated pictures of the house when we get back so you can see how all of the reconstruction worked out.  I'll update again soon.

Emptying the black tank - What to do if you are running full and don't have a dump station

Last year you may recall that we put in a 50 Amp Post at Karen's Mom's house in Michigan, where we've been staying the past few weeks, but one thing we don't have here is a place to dump our black water.  Our two grey tanks are not an issue.  We have an adapter that we hook a long garden hose to, that allows us to empty those tanks to the back of the field.  However the black tank is of a concern to us.  Since we've been here we've determined our best options. 1.  A Porta-Potty.  We found a place that was able to deliver a porta-john to us at a cost of around $100 for the entire month. 2.  Buy a portable black water tank.  This is a good idea if you sometimes find yourself in a situation where there is not a convenient dump station and you NEED to use your own toilet.  We found one that is slightly larger than our black tank at 36 gallons.
